Peter Paul Penguin Adventure
Baby It's Cold Outside star Peter Paul Penguin tells the harrowing experience of the trip by ice berg from the South pole to Southern Alberta.
News has been received that Peter Paul Penguin has successfully returned to the South Pole. However, Peter Paul is still hurting from having to leave his love, Maggie Pie behind.
We had a wonderful time at our show.
Region 26 Education Symposium with THE BUZZ
What a wonderful weekend!! 10 Members of Southern Accord Chorus attended the Regional Workshop in Edmonton. The Buzz, International Quartet Champions and totally committed teachers and coaches, freely shared their knowledge and their experiences with us. So much to learn - so much to experience. Some quick thoughts from the training --1. Let your Learning Music Face be the same as your Performance Face, 2. A beautiful singing voice is well supported, freely produced and resonant. AND SO MUCH MORE!!
A Step Ahead Visual Workshop
In mid June, our Choreographer, Director and an Assistant Director travelled to Toronto to participate in Erin Howden's (North Metro Chorus) Visual Leadership Conference. Two and a half days of creating, dancing and learning. What a wonderful experience!!
Mama and Mia
WHAT A SHOW!! We filled the church to capacity!! On Saturday, May 11th, Southern Accord Chorus Celebrated 15 years of harmony in our Mamma and Mia tribute show. It was an evening of love, laughter and song dedicated to Mothers everywhere. Yes - ABBA was there too (well at least our version of ABBA). M.C. for the evening was the very talented Jeff Carlson with the Mike Mountain Horse School Children’s Choirs as our special guests.
What Southern Accord Means to Me
Since joining Southern Accord Chorus I have had the opportunity to travel to wonderful education workshops in the U. S. and Canada. I have met women from many places around the world and when I travelled to Japan, I was invited to sing and enjoy an evening with a Sweet Adelines Chorus in Tokyo. Carol
